Regularization of Inverse Problems with Unknown Operator
In this paper, we study statistical inverse problems. We are interested in the case where the operator is not exactly known. Using the penalized blockwise Stein’s rule, we construct an estimator that produces sharp asymptotic oracle inequalities in different settings. In particular, we consider the case, where the set of bases is not associated with the singular value decomposition. The represe...
متن کاملConvexly constrained linear inverse problems: iterative least-squares and regularization
| In this paper, we consider robust inversion of linear operators with convex constraints. We present an iteration that converges to the minimum norm least squares solution; a stopping rule is shown to regularize the constrained inversion. A constrained Laplace inversion is computed to illustrate the proposed algorithm.
متن کاملIterative Choices of Regularization Parameters in Linear Inverse Problems
We investigate possibilities of choosing reasonable regularization parameters for the output least squares formulation of linear inverse problems. Based on the Morozov and damped Morozov discrepancy principles, we propose two iterative methods, a quasi-Newton method and a two-parameter model function method, for finding some reasonable regularization parameters in an efficient manner. These dis...
متن کاملA New Inexact Inverse Subspace Iteration for Generalized Eigenvalue Problems
In this paper, we represent an inexact inverse subspace iteration method for computing a few eigenpairs of the generalized eigenvalue problem Ax = Bx [Q. Ye and P. Zhang, Inexact inverse subspace iteration for generalized eigenvalue problems, Linear Algebra and its Application, 434 (2011) 1697-1715 ]. In particular, the linear convergence property of the inverse subspace iteration is preserved.
متن کاملRegularization and Inverse Problems
An overview is given of Bayesian inversion and regularization procedures. In particular, the conceptual basis of the maximum entropy method (MEM) is discussed, and extensions to positive/negative and complex data are highlighted. Other deconvolution methods are also discussed within the Bayesian context, focusing mainly on the comparison of Wiener filtering, Massive Inference and the Pixon meth...
